Penang International Sports Arena (PISA) is an indoor sports arena located
at Penang and is the largest and most comprehensive multi-purpose indoor
venue in the northern part of Malaysia. The stadium can accommodate a
capacity of 13,000 for an indoor fully air-conditioned arena. The Year
2000SUKMA game was one of the first events held in PISA when the
construction project was completed in year 2000.
Strategically located in growing township of Bayan Baru, the Penang
International Arena (PISA) is undoubtedly an impressive event venue in
Penang state. PISA consists of a spacious Arena, an Aquatic Centre, and
a multi-storey car park complex. With a floor area of 3,000 square
meters, the arena can easily accommodate 3,000 guests for a sit-down
banquet and about 150 standard exhibition booths. The pillar free
architectural design of the arena is surrounded by 10,000 terrace seats
that offer audiences very clear view of conventions, concerts and show
performances.
Major annual trade fair events held at PISA venue include PIKOM PC Fair,
Penang International Property EXPO, Homedec Exhibition & iFoodEX. See
the trade events lined up for the next 6 months from June - December.
